Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinctive mix of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway through The Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine Her real name is Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church where she sang and was a pianist. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music on the city's R&B scene. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to sing as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
