Sasha Allen is the transgender openly woman who sang transgender, making it onto the Live Shows on the Voice set the record straight as they made it there. It was the first time within the 21 years of Voice contests Sasha reached the finals beyond The Battle Rounds. The Newtown, Conn. duo have made it into the top 8 of the competition! Sasha announced that he is transgender on their Blind Auditions package. He told Parade.com that it took a lot of thought before making the decision. Sasha said it was hard to make a decision because he was required to show a very sensitive side of himself thousands and millions of people. He transitioned when it was still high school. Last week, during the fans week, witnessing the support from people and their reactions, and how the people reacted was well worth it. The Voice wasn't even around when we first played the song. We were thrilled when we got it. The track was something we were familiar with and had some plans to put it together. "I am pleasantly amazed at the way that fans executed the song."
